    For Mushroom Processing Factory

    Challenges:

    High temperature and moisture are required for the production of edible mushroom. However, this operating environment causes typical casters to deform in long-term use.

    Solutions:

    After an on-site investigation, we researched and developed a moisture & heat-resistant material as tread and used #304 stainless steel as the frame of the caster. The custom solution resulted in a low maintenance rate & longer lifetime.

    For Toy Production

    Challenges:

    Our client needed to develop a new toy that features swivel casters that do not rotate 360°. And no existing design is available to meet their requirements.

    Solutions:

    For the Clothing Industry

    Challenges:

    Casters used in the clothing factory are easy going wrong with thread stuck in the wheels. So regular clean and maintenance of the casters are required to ensure proper performance.

    Solutions:

    Based on the problems they faced, we added an anti-winding cover to the wheel of the original caster. And as for the material, we changed the steel to plastic and make it smoother so it's more user-friendly for maintenance.

    For Seafood Processing Industry

    Challenges:

    Typical steel casters are easy to get corrosive with frequent exposure to seawater and seafood fluids. The corrosion affects functions of the casters while causing certain contamination to the food. So frequent replacement of casters is required, which lead to high operating costs.

    Solutions:

    After a visit to the factory, EDL came up with a custom stainless steel caster, whose components including the bearings were made of #304 food grade stainless steel. This greatly reduced the possibilities of corrosion & helped prolong the lifetime of the caster.
